Beginning Thursday, November 6, APAC Shears of Salina will begin an asphalt mill and inlay project on Belmont Boulevard from Magnolia Road to Roach Street.
Belmont Boulevard is a divided four-lane roadway with two lanes in each direction. During construction, traffic will be shifted so that northbound and southbound vehicles share one side of the median while work is performed on the opposite side. Once work is complete on that side, traffic will be shifted to allow resurfacing of the remaining lanes.
Motorists should anticipate modest delays, reduced travel speeds, and occasional lane changes. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes and avoid the work zone whenever possible.
Additional streets included in this project are:
- Oxford Drive – Belmont to Ohio
- Republic Avenue – Osage to Broadway
- Broadway Boulevard – Republic to Crawford
- Crawford Street – West city limits to the west I-135 ramps
- North 9th Street – In front of the Pilot Travel Center
This work is part of the City of Salina’s 2025 $5.9 million maintenance capital improvement program.
