The City of Salina Landfill will close early at 2:00 p.m. today, May 18, 2026, due to the forecast of severe weather in the area. Expected hail and heavy rainfall may create unsafe conditions at the landfill site.
City staff will continue to monitor the weather and site conditions. Updates will be provided to the public as soon as it is safe to resume normal operations.
