The Natural Resources staff offers a variety of environmental studies and outdoor skill classes. These programs provide young people with opportunities to nurture their curiosity, which often leads to interest, understanding, and appreciation of our natural world.

Join Lakewood Discovery Center Friends

Join Lakewood Discovery Center (LDC) Friends to save money on select programs and trips offered throughout the year. Additional benefits include: LDC Friends t-shirt, 5 percent discount on LDC merchandise, GPS/canoe rentals, and special invitation to LDC Friends events. Membership is $50 per individual.

*Donations received through LDC Friends directly benefit the Lakewood Discovery Center. These funds are used for building improvements, educational materials and programs. Visit the Salina Parks and Recreation Office to enroll in LDC Friends.
