Kenwood Cove Aquatic Park

For real surf and real fun, spend the day at Kenwood Cove - Salina's premier aquatic park, featuring thrill rides, 1400 feet of slides, a children's play area, and fun attractions for the whole family.

Plunge from one of the park's four adventure slides. Drop 12 feet then swirl around the tornado slide before falling into a pool below. Hop on an inner tube and glide 275 feet down the river slide into the Lil' Smoky Lazy River. Or, catch a wave in the wave pool. Plus, so much more!

Relax, soak up the sun, and spend the day at Kenwood Cove. The family friendly, low-cost aquatic park features Caribbean-inspired décor, lush foliage and crashing waves, for an authentic island experience.

Marginal Weather Opening Procedure

Under management’s direction, Kenwood Cove will be cleared immediately at the first sign of lightning.  At that point a 30-minute wait will begin.  For each sound of thunder or sign of lightning, there will be a 30-minute wait. After the 30 minute wait, if there is no further lightning or thunder, the pool will open; otherwise the pool will close for the duration of the storm, opening at a later time if weather improves.

Kenwood Cove will open if the air temperature is 72 degrees or warmer and the sky is clear.  On cloudy days, the air temperature must be at least 75 degrees in order to open.  Additional factors such as water temperature and the forecast for the day will also be taken into consideration. Weather conditions will be checked at 8:30 a.m. (on Swim Lesson days), at 12 pm and again at 3 pm. The aquatic staff encourages patrons sign up for RecZone (click to sign up) and social media accounts to ensure that the facility will be open.
