From Thursday, December 4, through Friday, December 5, APAC Shears of Salina will continue work on the City of Salina’s annual Asphalt Mill and Inlay Project at North 9th Street near the Pilot Travel Center entrance. This phase of construction will include milling the existing northbound asphalt roadway surface followed by placement of a 1½- to 2-inch asphalt inlay.
The work will require intermittent lane closures, with flaggers on site to maintain traffic control. Motorists should expect minor delays and are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible. Through traffic is encouraged to avoid the work zone to help minimize congestion.
This work represents the third installment of the City’s 2025 Mill and Inlay Annual Maintenance Program. The total cost for all project installments is approximately $900,000.
