Vocalist Jill Cohn to perform at
Art a la Carte in Campbell Plaza Friday, May 8

The second Art a la Carte concert of the spring series, scheduled for Friday, May 8, will feature vocalist and songwriter Jill Cohn. Cohn also will do some school-based and community performances while in Salina.

A full-time musician since 1999, Cohn’s work is described by some as “folk Americana’ and includes evocative ballads as well as work reflecting modern-day. A native of eastern Washington, Cohn has nine critically-acclaimed independent releases and enjoys notoriety from numerous songs placed in popular TV shows.

Her 2012 album “Beautiful I Love You” was funded in part by a Kickstarter campaign. Her 2012 single “Yellow Rose” was nurtured into a full album with the support of Grammy Award-winning producer Malcolm Burn. On or off the road, Cohn continues to make her live shows the centerpiece of her work.

Cohn will give an evening performance open to the public at That1 Bar at 111 S. Santa Fe on Thursday, May 7 from 6:00 to approximately 8:00 pm. She will perform two 45-minute sets with a short break in between. There is no cover charge. For more details on this performance or on Cohn’s work, visit

In inclement weather, Art a la Carte performances are held at the Stiefel Theatre for the Performing Arts, 151 S. Santa Fe in downtown Salina.
