On April 9, 2016, at 2:16 pm, the Salina Fire Department was dispatched to 2003 Harold Avenue to the report of a garage fire. A Salina Police Officer who arrived on scene first, advised that an attached garage was fully involved in fire and an occupant was reported to be in the garage. Upon the Salina Fire Department’s arrival, search and rescue operations immediately began. A victim was rescued and transported to Salina Regional Health Center and later transferred to St. Francis Hospital in Wichita for injuries sustained in the fire.
The fire is currently under investigation.
