FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE SET FOR JULY 29
(Salina, KS 07-16) Salina Arts & Humanities, in collaboration with downtown stakeholders, announces the next Friday Night Live concert event on July 22. Friday Night Live is a series of arts and entertainment programming for Salina residents and visitors designed to increase attendance and participation in arts-related events and to strengthen partnerships with local business owners in the downtown arts district. Each week, a free-admission Friday Night Live concert will feature music and poetry in restaurants, bars, outdoor plazas and other venues.
This week’s Friday Night Live event is local talent-- The Dru Davis Group. Davis is a contemporary artist with traditional roots in guitar composition. He employs a technique of recorded chord progressions to enhance the styling of his electric guitar. Dru and his Group play unique interpretations of cover tunes and original compositions. The band is family friendly and when it performs, creates an enjoyable, relaxing atmosphere perfect for sharing with friends, to groove to great music.
The show is from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. at Campbell Plaza, 123 S. Santa Fe. Admission is free. Stay tuned for upcoming announcements about the Friday Night Live programming for August and September. For more information, call Stacy Ash at Salina Arts & Humanities at 785-309-5770.
