FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE SET FOR SEPTEMBER 23
(Salina, KS 09-16) Salina Arts & Humanities, in collaboration with downtown stakeholders, announces the next Friday Night Live concert event on September 23rd. Friday Night Live is a series of arts and entertainment programming for Salina residents and visitors designed to increase attendance and participation in arts-related events and to strengthen partnerships with local business owners in the downtown arts district.
Each week, Friday Night Live will feature music and/or poetry events in restaurants, bars, outdoor plazas and other venues. The FNL series is a combination of free-admission events sponsored by Friday Night Live and cover-charge events presented by local businesses, promoted through Friday Night Live stakeholders.
This week, the Friday Night Live concert features Jaron Bell performing a solo acoustic set. A rising star in Texas/Americana music, Bell has created a unique style of red-dirt outlaw country. Typically backed by a band, Bell also is an accomplished solo artist. For this performance, he will bring an acoustic sound to the Campbell Plaza stage. Soulful and laid back, Bell gives a performance that all ages won't want to miss.
The concert is free of charge and takes place at Campbell Plaza, 123 S. Santa Fe, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Please check the Friday Night Live and Salina Arts and Humanities Facebook pages for possible same-day weather delays or postponements.
The Stiefel Theatre also features a country western performance on Friday night. Multiple Grammy nominee Martina McBride will play at 8:00 pm. The box office opens at 5:00 pm on concert days.
