ORDINANCE NUMBER 16-10871

 

AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING SALINA CODE NEW SECTION 20-20 PERTAINING TO CRIMINAL HISTORY RECORD INFORMATION.

BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of Salina, Kansas:

Section 1. New Section. The Salina Code is amended by adding a section to be numbered 20-20, which reads as follows:

  Sec.20-20 Criminal History Record Information.

Criminal history record information obtained from a law enforcement agency shall be required of any applicant for the following licensing categories:

 

  1. Bail Bond Agent
  2. Bail Bond Company
  3. Cereal Malt Beverage Retailers’
  4. Merchant Security Guard
  5. Merchant Security Service
  6. Peddler and Solicitor
  7. Regulated Scrap Metal Dealer’s Registration
  8. Taxicab Driver

Section 2.  Effective.  This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper by the following summary:

Ordinance No. 16-10871 Summary

On December 19, 2016, the City Commission passed Ordinance No. 16-10871.  The Ordinance adopts Salina Code new Section 20-20 pertaining to criminal history record information.  A complete copy of the Ordinance can be found at www.salina-ks.gov or in the office of the City Clerk, 300 W. Ash, free of charge.  This summary is certified by the City’s legal counsel.
