School Flashing Light at
E. Ash Street and Kansas Avenue
Westar Energy will be replacing a transformer that powers the westbound school flashing light near the intersection of Kansas Avenue and Ash Street on Friday, Jan. 20, 2017. The flashing speed limit sign beacon will not be activated while work is being performed as power will be shut off. However, reduced speeds for school zone times will still be enforced.
Motorists are encouraged to practice extra caution when traveling in and around the reduced-speed school zone sign locations. Weather permitting, the repairs are expected to be complete in one day.
