The Salina Parks & Recreation Department will host the 43rd Annual Play Day in the Park on Wednesday, July 4 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. in Oakdale Park.
Mayor Karl Ryan will provide opening remarks, and a flag-raising ceremony will follow. Magician Shawn Reida is the emcee and featured entertainer on the Eric Stein Stage. There will be performances by the Municipal Band and Parks and Recreation baton twirlers, cheerleaders and dance classes.
Children's activities include: tic tac toe, sack races, parachute, face painting and more.
A limited number of hotdogs, ice cream, watermelon, drinks and more will be served on a first-come, first served basis.
