4/24/2019 - A River Runs Through It: A First Thursday Presentation

It's been skated on, paddled through and swam in. It's washed away bridges, animals and people. It's the Smoky Hill River and it's been an important part of Salina's history from the very beginning. But how much do we really know about the river? Join Mike Mattson as he discusses the history of the river, including some of the stories and people that make up its past. He'll also share how the river got to be in the state it's in. Mattson is a well-known local songster and amateur historian.

The Smoky Hill Museum hosts this free presentation on Thursday May 2 from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
