6/18/2019 - 44th Annual Play Day in the Park

The Salina Parks & Recreation Department will host Play Day in the Park on Thursday, July 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Oakdale Park.

This free public event includes the following children's activities: tic-tac-toe, sack races, sidewalk chalk, parachute, face painting and more. Live entertainment will take place on the Eric Stein Stage, and will include music from the Municipal Band and performances by the Parks and Recreation baton twirlers, cheerleaders and dance classes. Magician Richard Holmgren will be the featured entertainer.

A limited number of hotdogs, sno-cones, watermelons, drinks and other refreshments will be served on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Mayor Trent Davis will provide welcoming remarks, which will be followed by a flag-raising ceremony conducted by a local veterans group.
