5/8/2013 - Soul Preachers to Play "Festival Friday" Art A La Carte on May 24h

The Art a la Carte concert series on “Festival Friday,” May 24, will feature the Soul Preachers.
This special Festival preview will take place at Eric Stein Stage at Oakdale Park. The band will play an expanded set, beginning at 12:15 p.m. and concluding at 1:00 p.m. There is no charge for admission. Festival Friday marks the final Art a la Carte concert of the season. There will be free soda, and Festival admission Buttons, Gift Certificates, and T-shirts will be on sale. The Festival Medallion Quest also will launch that day, with the first Quest Clue being read live from the Main Stage sometime during the noon hour.
The Soul Preachers (Aaron Householter, guitar; Dave Golden, bass guitar; and Bill Jones, drums) are a rock-and-roll band with over 30 years of experience. The trio plays a variety of rock tunes in a wide range of venues and is scheduled to perform at the Festival Jam at the Smoky Hill River Festival on Thursday evening, June 6th.
In inclement weather, the performance will be held at the Stiefel Theatre for the Performing Arts, 151 S. Santa Fe.
Concertgoers are encouraged to bring a brown bag lunch, or to purchase one from one of the many nearby downtown restaurants.
