FUN & FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITY
At Smoky Hill River Festival 2014

The 38th Smoky Hill River Festival is fast approaching! For Festival 2014, the Children's Area will continue its transformation into "Artyopolis," a thriving metropolis of art, crafts, games and more, designed especially as a kid-sized “lots to do” town.

Non-profit and community groups are invited to apply by Monday, March 17 to provide a fun and active game for kids to enjoy at the Festival Friday, June 13 through Sunday, June 15. Game Street features an exciting “pay to play” area with colorful, vibrant storefronts that resemble a traditional downtown Main Street with a splash of color and whimsy.

Game Street will provide space, a canopy and a storefront for your club to run a game. Each time the game is played, your organization profits! The location of the games will continue to be in a high-traffic section of Artyopolis, which in 2013 resulted in eight games bringing in total revenues of $9,000 for six participating organizations.

If you’re interested in taking part in this fundraising opportunity, guidelines and an application can be downloaded at riverfestival.com or by calling 785-309-5770 or via e-mail sahc@salina.org. River Festival staff has many ideas and options to offer.

For needed accommodations, please call Kathy Burlew at Salina Arts & Humanities at 785-309-5770 between 8:00 a.m. - Noon and 1:00 - 5:00 p.m.  Every effort will be made to accommodate known disabilities.  For material or speech access, please call at least five working days prior to the event.
