NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE is hereby given that a public hearing will be held by the Salina Board of Zoning Appeals to consider the following application(s):
Application #V25-11, filed by Gary Hobbie, on behalf of the Community Housing Development Corporation of Central Kansas, requesting a variance from the landscape buffer requirements in Section 42-65(6) of the Salina Zoning Ordinance that are applicable to multi-family development. The applicant is requesting that the subject property be exempted from all landscape buffer requirements in Section 42-65(6). The subject property of this application is Lots 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 and the vacated street south of Lot 2, Block 9 in the EMI Addition to the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas. The subject properties are addressed as 1001 4th Street, 235 Harsh Avenue, and 239 Harsh Avenue. Application #V25-12, filed by Sean Kindlesparger, requesting two (2) variances. The first request is a 24’-5” front yard setback variance from the minimum front yard setback of twenty-five (25) feet to allow the construction of a trash enclosure with a front yard setback of seven (7) inches. The second request is a 1’-6” side yard setback variance from the minimum side yard setback of three (3) feet to allow the construction of a trash enclosure with a side yard setback of one and a half (1.5) feet. The subject property of this application is legally described as a portion of Lot 2 and Lots 3, 6, 7 and 8, Block 2 of the Brock Addition to the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas. The subject property is addressed as 1008 Brock Road.

The public hearing will be held in Room 107 of the City-County Building and may also be joined via Zoom on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. A hearing will be granted to any and all persons desiring to be heard on the above request(s).
