Beginning Monday October 27, the City of Salina Public Works Department will be cutting the pavement on South Fourth Street between Iron Ave and Walnut Street. South Fourth Street will be closed to thru traffic during working hours (7:30am to 3:00pm) while crews prepare for the railroad tracks to be replaced. The roadway will then be reopened each day to allow for access.
The Railroad is planning for this segment of South Fourth Street to be fully closed starting Monday, November 3rd to replace the tracks.
Weather permitting, the replacement of tracks is estimated to be completed by November 28th.
