Beginning Thursday, September 25, 2025, Smoky Hill Construction will be working in the 1000 and 1100 blocks of West Ash Street. Pavement will be removed, existing utilities will be located, and a new water main will be installed under the railroad tracks. The eastbound and westbound lane widths along West Ash Street will be reduced. West Ash Street will be intermittently closed between Chicago Street and College Avenue. Work is expected to last one month and be completed by the end of October, weather permitting.
Appropriate barriers will be in place to ensure the safety of workers. Motorists may encounter minor delays and are encouraged to find alternate routes.
