ORDINANCE NUMBER 25-11238
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 24-11192 AS IT PROVIDED FOR AMENDMENT OF THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN TO CORRECT THE FUTURE LAND USE CLASSIFICATION SET FORTH IN SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 24-11192; REPEALING EXISTING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 24-11192; AND RATIFYING AND AFFIRMING ALL OTHER SECTIONS OF ORDINANCE NO. 24-11192 AS TO THE CORRECTED FUTURE LAND USE CLASSIFICATION.
WHEREAS, after the adoption of Ordinance No. 24-11192 by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas on January 10, 2024; its signature by the Mayor on January 10, 2024; and its publication on January 11, 2024, a substantive typographical error was discovered causing the need for a correction of the Future Land Use classification of a tract of land as set forth in Section 2 of Ordinance No. 24-11192 by amendment of Section 2 of Ordinance No. 24-11192 pursuant to and in the manner prescribed by K.S.A. 12-3004; THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. Amendment of Section 2 of Ordinance Number 24-11192. To correct the error in the Future Land Use classification set forth in Section 2 of Ordinance No. 24-11192 and to conform with the recommendation of the Salina City Planning Commission, Section 2 of Ordinance No. 24-11192 is amended to read as follows:
Section 2. Comprehensive Plan Amendment. The Future Land Use Map (Figure 2.1) of the Salina Comprehensive Plan is amended to show the Property as a future Urban Residential land use area.
Section 2. Repealer and Reaffirmation. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 24-11192 is repealed and all other sections of Ordinance No. 24-11192 are ratified and affirmed as to the corrected Future Land Use classification as set forth in Section 2 of this ordinance.
Section 3. Publication. The City Clerk shall cause this ordinance, as soon as practicable after it has been passed and signed, to be published on the City’s website as the designated official city newspaper.
Section 4. Effective date. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after publication.
